Another amazing book for all the single ladies to check out! If you remember, I posted about one a few weeks ago, Dating the Wrong Men (you should read both of these books). This time I have, Who’s Picking Me Up from the Airport? This is another “Hey I can relate to her..” book! Yes, these are the best, I love a good book that I can relate to. It keeps interested and makes me want to read more and not stop. I was able to finish this one in under a week, with you know with four kids, a blog, and a business really means it’s a good book right? Who’s Picking Me Up from the Airport? is about a woman who shared her story about being single, inside includes stories from other women, some really great quotes and some really great bible quotes. A few of the chapters made me cry, more or less, because I’m still in a really relatable state of mind in my single-ness (does that make sense?) It’s always nice to remind yourself that you’re not alone in this adventure called life. God knows your future, he knows the desire of your heart. But don’t worry, not all of the good Christian guys are taken. Most importantly, you’re not ugly, you’re beautiful. Never forget that! You’re worth it and you deserve the world. I’m 29 year old, yes I just spent the last 9 years of my life in a marriage, sometimes I feel like it’s too late, but it’s never too late. Keep being friendly, happy and never bitter. Waiting for that special someone is totally worth it, your future husband will be glad you waited! The best part of the book was the list of #Ishouldveknownwhen and goes to list items her and her friends made up to describe that exact moment they knew it wasn’t going to last. Haha! I love it! A few were, He shared a bedroom with his sister, he wouldn’t sign up for a trial gym membership, because three month was “too much commitment.” Like seriously, I was rolling at some of these things. I haven’t really dated a lot of people, before I ended up getting married. However since become “single” again, it’s like it’s harder than it was 10 years ago. Then again, 10 years ago, I was just a single mom of 1 and a lot less on my plate. Now I’m a single mom of four and you wouldn’t believe what I have on my plate. I’ve never really been a book reading kind of person, until recently when I became single. I’m on a single woman book related kick lately. Who’s Picking Me Up from the Airport is an amazing book for single woman to read. While she doesn’t have all the answers, it’s nice to be able to relate to someone. More like a, “I know I’m not alone..” kind of book. I love that’s there’s notes before each chapter to say and the quotes. A few of the stories really hit me hard and I cried, because that’s how relatable this book is. I totally recommending this book to all the single ladies or anyone really.
